Inspired by a love for color and a passion for helping kids learn, designer Amanda Rydell launched My Little Dear in 2007
to provide families with affordable, stylish clothing.
Amanda is a 20-something entrepreneur who got her start at
the Art Institute in Minneapolis. As a full-time nanny, Amanda gets inspiration
every day from the children she loves. Her design line has expanded to include
new goodies like headbands and burp cloths.
Amanda believes that with a little creativity, a product can be both fashionable and functional, and loved by parents and children alike.
My Little Dear designs feature whimsical prints that are sassy and sweet. The clothing makes a high-fashion statement, but is practical enough to keep up with the everyday adventures in a child’s life.
All products are designed personally by Amanda and printed in a local shop in Minneapolis. American Apparel provides all clothing material, ensuring an entirely made-in-the-USA product. Amanda believes in the importance of supporting small, local businesses, and provides hands-on guidance every step of the way.
A big thanks to Jeff and Jessica from Jefflovesjessicaphotography for all they do for My Little Dear.
